Remember O Most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought they intercession was left un aided.  Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee O Virgin of Virgins my Mother. To thee I come before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful.  O Mother of the Word Incarnate depsise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me, AMEN

On Monday February 12, our beloved Holy Father

Pope BenedictXVI announced his intention

to resign the Office of the Papacy due to increased

ill health and the difficulties associated with

advanced age.

The Catholic community throughout the world was saddened and stunned by his announcement for he has been such a gentle, calm, intellectual, and deeply spiritual successor to St. Peter.

His retirement takes effect on February 28th at which time a Conclave will be called to elect the next Holy Roman Pontiff.

We assure our Holy Father our prayers as we know that he will be praying for us.

will be announced on Mother's Day Weekend

Welcome to the Web Site of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Bristol, Rhode Island. Here at Mount Carmel we try our best to serve God and His Church with a lively faith, a steadfast hopefullness, and an abundance of charity. With an Italian Heritage as a foundation, the parish and our school, since the early 1900's, have grown in this journey of faith as we together proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With God's grace, we will continue on this pilgrimage as we grow in the light of Christ.

May Christ Jesus give you his peace.
