The Religious Education Office of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is once again sponsoring a parish wide community reach-out to help those in need this Christmas season, particularly those young people living in state care and group homes. Newly purchased gifts should be placed in the large wooden box inside the entrance of the church before Monday, December 21st. Specific gift requests from three area group homes can be found on the gift tags left in the basket inside the doors of the church. In addition to the specific requests, new general items such as sweat pants and tops, gift cards and bedding will also be accepted. Please attach the tag to the gift when you return it to the box. All gifts should be unwrapped, so that staff members can best distribute the gifts to the many children and teenagers living in group homes in the East Bay area. Items may be placed in open gift bags.
THE STATUE OF
OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL
will be visiting homes for prayer during Advent. Parishioners who wish to reserve a date to host Her please call Bernice Parella at 253-3455.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS: You will notice in your budget a special envelope for Christmas Flowers. We rely on your generosity to beautify the Church for the celebration of the Lord’s Birth. You may place your donation in these envelopes and place them in the basket at any time. On the envelope is an area to remember deceased loved ones. These envelopes will be placed as a memorial at the Nativity Scene for the season of Christmas.

REMEMBER
THE CHURCH in your
preparation for the end of the tax year. Donations to the
Church, (monetary, stock, property) are a tax deduction
that can help you and a way, at year's end, to assist your
parish in the work of God.
THE
POOR BOX located
in the back of the Church under the picture of Pope Benedict
XVI, is the vehicle by which we can hear and answer the
cries of the poor on a weekly basis. Please remember to
give to the poor box on a regular basis. Through your generosity
we are enabled to help individuals and families in need.
Thank you for thinking of others during their time of need.
