We are now in the most joyous of seasons in the Church, the celebration of Jesus risen from the dead. After 40 days and nights of preparation through prayer, fasting, penance and almsgiving during the Lenten Season, we now are in the midst of this profound season of rejoicing. The Easter Mystery, Jesus risen from the dead, changes everything. Now in the midst of joys and sorrows, successes and disappointments, we can rejoice, for Jesus has once and for all conquered sin and eternal death. As we continue to rejoice with the risen Lord, we celebrate this Paschal mystery with the entire Church and join with her in the Easter antiphon, resonating in our hearts and souls, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
